Link Transit Route Changes in Effect July 6
Beginning Monday, July 6, several Link Transit routes will have new schedule times. These changes reflect an increase in frequency, access to transfers, and an additional route – all for the benefit of Link Transit guests.
The following changes will be in effect:
- Route 1 (Columbia Station to Walmart) will no longer be in service. Instead, Route 2 will increase in weekday frequency from 6:30am to 6:00pm to every 15 minutes and weekend frequency to 30 minutes from 8:00am to 5:30pm on Saturday and 8:30am to 5:00pm on Sunday. Route 2 serves the same stops as Route 1, so this will provide better, more consistent service to both Route 1 and Route 2 riders.
- Route 5 (Western Ave/Walmart) will extend to Olds Station to provide better access for those who want to transfer to Routes 21 and 22 to Chelan and Leavenworth.
- Route 6 (South Wenatchee Ave) has new departure times and will now be on a 30-minute frequency on weekends.
- Route 20 (Orondo/Chelan/Manson) is a new route that will now provide weekday service between Wenatchee and Manson via Orondo and Chelan Falls. Trips will depart from Columbia Station at 5:10am and 2:10pm. There will be an 8:10am departure from Chelan, in addition to a 4:45pm departure from Manson. There will be an “on call” stop in Sun Cove.
- Route 21 (Entiat/Chelan/Manson) will no longer depart Columbia Station at 5:00am and 2:00pm or Manson at 8:29am or 4:28am on weekdays. Trips will depart every hour from 5:30AM-7:30PM. Two trips will continue to depart on the hour at 7:00am and 3:00pm.
New schedule books will be distributed to various locations across Link’s service area and available on buses and at Guest Services by July 1st. It will also be available online.
