LINK TRANSIT TO UNVEIL NEW BUS FOR WATERVILLE SERVICE

Link Transit is excited to announce the unveiling of four new buses designed to serve the community of Waterville and Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort. Each vehicle is specially equipped for pulling hills and includes built-in features like automatic chains, self-leveling suspension and engine-braking systems.

Custom graphics add to the sweet ride, with buses headed to the mountain emblazoned with scenes from the slopes while those headed to the plateau are decorated with pastoral farming landscapes.

“We are thrilled to add these new buses to the fleet, which will directly improve service and accessibility for the Waterville and SkiLink routes,” said Nick Covey, CEO for Link Transit. “This investment in our infrastructure reflects Link’s commitment to providing high-quality transit services to North Central Washington.”

The official unveiling of the Waterville Bus is slated for 3 p.m. January 7, 2024 at the Waterville Town Hall garage. The event will feature themed treats and an opportunity for the community to see the new bus up close, learn more about its features, and celebrate the expansion of Link Transit services. The event is free and open to the public.

SkiLink service is a fare-free bus route that travels from Columbia Station to Mission Ridge Ski Resort with a pickup location at Lincoln Park. SkiLink operates weekends and holidays throughout the Mission Ridge Ski Season. Check the SkiLink schedule on linktransit.com for more information on times and days of operation.

Link Transit’s route 25 to Waterville travels from Columbia Station through East Wenatchee and Orondo up Pine Canyon ending at the Douglas County Courthouse. Route 25 operates 7 days a week from 5:30 a.m. to 7:12 p.m. Monday – Friday, and 8 a.m.–to 6:12 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
